Searchlight is our EPOS data service which has been developed to serve two key functions:

1. Enable our clients to identify retail stores which have significant issues with maintaining their product availability at point of sale, & thus allow us to;

  • Focus resources where they are most needed
  • Improve call file & journey planning efficiencies
  • Monitor retail sales performance by store & calculate a return on investment

2. Enable our field teams to identify specific products with availability issues before they step into store.

Pathfinder is our product availability report which is issued to every member of our Field Team before they make visits. Its benefits include:

  • A minimum of 7 days of product availability analysis per report
  • Prioritising problem SKUs in descending order
  • Removing the need to focus on products where there are no issues
  • Presenting the availability opportunity in retail values for local store managers
  • Directing Field personnel to address & report the root causes of availability issues

The Searchlight & Pathfinder services require regular access to daily store level EPOS data by SKU. This data can be made available to manufacturers & suppliers from a number of major retailers including Tesco, Asda & Sainsburys.
